| As a minimum, the following checks and tasks are performed during a maintenance inspection visit: Water Cooled Systems 1. Perform general inspection of the equipment and the environment it is being operated in. 2. Run shaker. Perform a sine sweep at 2 g’s form 20 to 2500 Hz.& plot the results. 3. Check condition of cooling pumps. 4. Check shaker cooling unit for flow and pressure. 5. Check all hoses, fittings and connectors for corrosion. 6. Replace closed loop water and replace filters. 7. Check wires and cables for loose connections. Secure and tighten as required. 8. Remove shaker top seal cover and inspect flexures and over-travel switch. 9. Remove/Inspect moving element. 10. Inspect/replace armature current lead. 11. Replace rolling seal 12. Inspect bottom of shaker. Check for fluid leaks and loose connections. 13. Measure insulation resistance between the field coils and the shaker body 14. Record field voltage and current. 15. Check field supply fans for proper operation. 16. Inspect degaussing coil and adjust as necessary. 17. Inspect and clean all amplifier output modules 18. Check all transistors for shorted or open state. 19. Check calibration on amplifier & pre-amp. 20. Take DC voltage and current readings. Interpolate. 21. Inspect slip-table, if applicable and adjust as needed. 22. Run system at 2 g’s. 20 to 2500Hz. Plot results. Air Cooled Systems 1. Perform general inspection of the equipment and the environment it is being operated in. 2. Run shaker. Perform a sine sweep at 2 g’s form 20 to 2500 Hz. Plot the results. 3. Check blower for proper rotation 4. Inspect air hose for leaks or restrictions. 5. Remove shaker top cover and inspect flexures and over-travel switch 6. Check all fittings and connections for corrosion. 7. Check wires and cables for loose connections. Secure and tighten as required. 8. Inspect moving element – Remove if necessary 9. Inspect armature current lead, replace as necessary. 10. Measure insulation resistance between the field coils and the shaker body 11. With system on-line, record field voltage and current. 12. Check field supply fans for proper operation. 13. Inspect degaussing coil and adjust as necessary. 14. Replace inlet air filter as required. 15. Inspect and clean all amplifier output modules 16. Check all transistors for shorted or open state. 17. Check factory calibration on amplifier pre-amp. 18. Take DC voltage and current readings. Interpolate. 19. Inspect slip-table, if applicable and adjust as needed. 20. Run system at 2 g’s. 20 to 2500Hz. Plot results. All findings are discussed with customer personnel; a written inspection report is generated and left with the customer. A computer tracking record is created and an electronic and a paper copy are kept in our files and will track all maintenance requirements for the system and notify the customer when the next maintenance becomes due. |
