The Model AM-123 provides effective overtest protection for shakers and test specimens in
the event of operator errors or system malfunctions which would otherwise cause the
vibration level to exceed the desired test level. The AM-123 can be used for both sine and
random testing. lt can operate with manual or automatic equalizers, sine servos, averagers
and peak selectors as well as digital control systems.
The primary function of the AM-123 is to provide specimen overtest protection. There are
many conditions which may result in'overtest, such as:
1) loss of conirol signal
2) incorrect setting of charge amplifier sensitivity
3) incorrect ietup of test parameters on servo or digital controls
4) component failure in the power amplifier
